Hormone changes are a normal part of life, yet few general practitioners understand the implications of hormonal imbalances, and to these medical professionals, managing hormone levels is more guesswork than science. At Progressive Health & Rejuvenation Institute, you will find the hormone experts you need to improve your physical and emotional health.

Our Approach to Women’s and Men’s Health

Women have been treated for hormonal imbalances for decades, and men represent a newer population within this field. Unfortunately, most treatment plans that are developed by family physicians and OB/GYN specialists are based upon standardized dosing information. At Progressive Health & Rejuvenation Institute, we recognize that hormone levels are unique to each body, and therapies must be customized to achieve the desired results with few, if any, unwanted side effects. We understand that hormone therapy is as much science as art that suits the physiology of the patient, and our plans are developed on a case-by-case basis.

What to Expect from Our Treatments

Your hormone replacement therapy begins with a consultation with one of our experienced healthcare providers They will ask about any symptoms that you experience, your medical history, methods that you have tried to feel better, and other relevant information. You will need to have bloodwork done so that we can see where you are with organ function, nutrient levels, hormone levels, and overall health. Once we have the results of the test, we contact you to schedule a follow-up appointment. During the second appointment, our healthcare providers review the results of your bloodwork and explain how each finding contributes to your symptoms. We explain our recommendations for treatments, and together you decide how to proceed. You are never pressured into followed a specific course of treatment. Our relationship with you is a partnership in your health and well-being.

Follow the Treatment Plan at Home

Hormone deficiencies are typically corrected with supplements and medications that you use at home. In some cases, you may need to come to our office for injections. You can best achieve your health goals by staying consistent with the at-home therapies, including when and how you take the supplements and medications. You may not notice any changes to your symptoms right away, as your body needs time to adjust and rebalance. It is important that you continue following the plan during this time.

Monitoring Your Progress

Our staff schedules a series of follow-up appointments so we can monitor your progress. We may recommend that you have follow-up bloodwork so we can evaluate your hormone levels and determine if the therapies are working. Between your appointments, please keep a journal of any physical and emotional symptoms that you experience. Lab tests provide a degree of information, and how you feel is a better indication of the efficacy of the therapies.
